CIPSE is not only a clinical practice — it is an educational institute. Dr. Porat offers supervision and training to pre-licensed and licensed clinicians deepening their practice in psychodynamic psychotherapy.
Whether you are completing licensure hours, integrating psychoanalytic thinking into your existing work, or seeking ongoing case consultation, CIPSE offers a rigorous and humanizing learning environment.
Teaching & Supervising the Next Generation
Beyond direct clinical care, CIPSE exists to educate and supervise clinicians in psychodynamic and psychoanalytic psychotherapy. Dr. Porat has been on faculty at the Massachusetts Institute for Psychoanalysis (MIP) since 2021, and brings years of clinical and academic experience into a rigorous but humanizing training environment.
The Institute draws on her lineage of training and supervision in the relational and international psychoanalytic traditions — with deep roots in the work of Mal Slavin and the broader MIP community, and an ongoing conversation with the British Independents, the French school, the post-Bionian Italians, and the Argentine field theorists.
We hold open hours for case consultation, theoretical seminars, and supervisory dyads with both early-career and seasoned clinicians.
Supervision & training at CIPSE
Individual Supervision
One-on-one clinical supervision with Dr. Porat, rooted in psychodynamic and relational frameworks — for pre-licensed and licensed professionals at all levels.
Theory & Practice Seminars
Psychoanalytic theory and practice seminars covering relational, psychodynamic, and contemporary frameworks. For early-career and experienced clinicians alike.
Trainee Placement
CIPSE accepts pre-licensed professionals for clinical placement in a supported psychodynamically oriented environment under direct supervision.
Small-Group Supervision
Psychoanalytically-steeped small-group supervision for licensed clinicians at all levels of practice. Cohorts meet regularly to deepen clinical thinking together.
Weekend Workshops
Immersive weekend-long workshops on focused clinical and theoretical themes — taught by Dr. Porat and visiting faculty.
Case Consultation Seminars
Ongoing clinical case presentation seminars and group discussions — a chance to bring difficult cases into a thoughtful, psychoanalytically informed dialogue.
Community Mental Health Consultation
Consultation services to community mental health clinic staff — supporting frontline clinicians with case consultation, training, and supervision in psychodynamically informed care.

Pre-Licensed Therapist / Clinical Intern
We welcome applications from pre-licensed clinicians completing their supervised hours. You will work with adult individuals, receive weekly supervision from Dr. Porat, and participate in ongoing case consultation.
In person & Online
Licensed Psychotherapist
Experienced clinicians with a psychodynamic or relational orientation are encouraged to reach out. We are building a collaborative, collegial team grounded in mutual respect and ongoing learning.

Administrative & Practice Support
